About the Designer

Sarah Chipman is a California native and mother of three children. As a daughter of military parents, Sarah spent her childhood in places around the globe, from Guam to Norway. She met her future husband in the Art and Design Department while attending Brigham Young University and thus began several collaborative design projects. She and her husband founded Design Synthesis, a furniture design and architectural mill in 1975. She considers working from her home studio a real privilege.

Raising children, helping them enjoy and include art in their lives and teaching art to the children of others have all contributed to her whimsical design style. She hopes you enjoy her creations.
